Snow Lake – Hispar La Trek Pakistan is a high altitude Glacier basin over 16km wide located at the head of the Biafo and Hispar glaciers. The Ancient highway of Ice which connects the two Great mountain kingdoms; Hunza in the west with Baltistan in the east. Combine the Biafo Hispar and Biafo Glacier is 120 km, which make it the second longest glacier in the world outside the Polar Region.

Snow Lake – Hispar La Trek Pakistan visits a remote and unspoiled region of the Karakoram where very few other trekking groups visit so the trail will be quiet and it is unlikely you will see other trekkers along the way. Being the most remote area, it serves as the last stronghold for many animals including Himalayan bear, ibex, Markhor and the snow leopard. Snow lake is arguably the most challenging and rewarding area in the Karakoram for trekkers and mountaineers. There will be places where booth the group and porters will have to rope up. In places the trail is difficult as we have to climb over moraine ridges covered by loose rocks; traverse a number of tributary glaciers and cross glacial streams. The Charakusa gives access to the north side of K6; to the southwest of the peak is the small Nangmah (or "Nangpah") Glacier, and to the east is the larger Kaberi Glacier and the Kaberi River valley.

K2 base camp trek mainly involves walking over and marching along the world’s 5th longest non-polar glacier i.e. Baltoro glacier (63 km). At the end of Baltoro glacier is Concordia which is known as “Throne Room of Mountain Gods”. It is the supreme point for views of K2 (world’s second tallest mountain) and other mighty peaks above 8,000m.

It is a legend that one night under the grand mountains in Concordia adds to life span of any soul by one year. Concordia is a glacial confluence of the Baltoro Glacier with the Glacier of Godwin Austen. Trek to K2 base camp and Broad Peak base camp is altogether a one day tour from Concordia on the Godwin Austen glacier. Trekking from Askoli (first camp) over Baltoro glacier to Concordia offers views of several famous 6000 m and 7000 m peaks, several glaciers (including Biafo – world’s 3rd longest non-polar), glacial lakes etc.

K2 and Gondogoro La Trek is in the Karakoram mountain range of Gilgit Baltistan region in Pakistan. K2 is the second highest mountain in the world. It is also known as the king of the Karakoram. K2 and Gondogoro La trek is no doubt one the of the best treks in the world. On this trek, you will see the great Trango towers, Masherbrum, Gasherbrums, the mighty K2 and Broad peak among many other famous mountains. On k2 and Gondogoro La Trek, you will be trekking on the famous Baltoro Glacier and pass Concordia. Concordia has been described as the “Throne Room of the Gods” for its unique 360° panorama of 7,000m mountains and impressive views of K2.

The start point of K2 and Gondogoro La trek is Islamabad. Islamabad is the purpose build green capital city of Pakistan. Your guide will meet and greet you at the Islamabad international airport, then transfer you to the hotel for a rest to recover from the journey. We will meet again in the afternoon for a briefing about the trek. Next day you will take the spectacular mountains view flight to Skardu. From the flight, you will have the first glimpse of Nanga Parbat, K2 and many other Himalayan & Karakoram peaks. After 45 minutes, you will arrive in Skardu. Skardu is the capital of Baltistan. You will check into your hotel and the rest of the afternoon is for rest and preparation for your trek.

Following day you will start your day by driving along the mighty Indus, Shigar then Braldu river to Shigar valley towards Askoli. Askoli is the last village before you enter into the wilderness of the Karakoram and the central Karakoram national park. You will spend your first night under the stars in your tents. After spending your first night in the tent under the starry canvas, today will be your first day of walking. You will be walking towards Braldu gorge and to the snout of the Baltoro glacier, which you then follow to Concordia. Concordia is located at the junction of Baltoro and Godwin-Austen Glaciers. It is the centre of the Karakoram mountain range, and centre of a complex to some of the world highest peaks and many of the largest glaciers. Concordia gives you a fantastic mountains views. On every side, within radius of 24 kms, rise up ten of the world’s thirty highest peaks, including, K2, Broad Peak, and Gasherbrum peaks.

You have the option to trek on Godwin-Austen glacier to visit Broad Peak, Milky Memorial and the base cam of K2 then return to Concordia for night stay. After spending a night at Concordia, you will continue your trek on upper Baltoro glacier towards Chogolisa and Ali Camp. Overnight at Ali camp. From Ali camp you will start your second part of Gondogoro La Trek by crossing the Gondogoro Pass (5,585m), which requires crampons. Every year, at the beginning of the season, a rescue team from Hushe village fixes the ropes on Gondogoro La, maintains them through the trekking season and removing them at the end of the season for a fix fee (included). Rescue team member are based at booth side of the Pass. They will also help and assist you to climb the pass. You have to wake up very early in the morning to climb Gondogoro La. It is necessary to cross the Pass before sunrise to avoid any kind of ice falls and avalanches due to rise in temperature.

Hushe Valley is located in Khaplu District of Baltistan.The vally is starting point of many famous mountains, like Masherbrum, K-6, Laila Peak, and famous Gondogoro la.

Also the gateway of adventurous treks, most of which lead to the north side of Shyok River. The area is the historic base of many voyages of exploration and expeditions to the mountains in this region of Karakoram.

The Masherbrum vally an offers easy and very fascinating trek. The peak known as

world highest peaks nearly 8000-m,however it added the taste in trek by passing over the meadows and trees.The trek traverses the lateral moraines of the Masherbrum glacier up to the base camp (4280m) of the magnificent Masherbrum peak (7820m), the 27th highest peak in the world.

One of the easiest and quickest treks to the base camp of a Karakoram giant, this trek has superb close-up views of Masherbrum. A relatively easy trek leads straight towards the foot of mighty Masherbrum (7821m) with excellent views.

Nangma valley is one of the most well known and beautiful rock wall in Baltistan Region, The mount Amin Peak is situated in inaccessible Northern Area of Karakorm Baltistan, There more attempts during the summer of 1999 and remarkably tow of these were brought to a successful conclusion.

An easy trek from Kanday village will take you to the Nangma valley, a sanctuary of wilderness beauty with numerous rock pinnacles. The valley known as paradise of rock climbing ,presenting the spectacular scene ,passing through all kind of natural objects like as greenery medows,with different kind of trees with spring cleaner waters. It’s certainly one of the memorial trip in a life, as enjoying by small rock climbing The trek to the base camps of Amin Bark (5850 mts) is a splendid walk through summer pastures with a variety of wild flowers. Dozens of rock peaks nestled in this area offers great climbing options for all age groups. For few days you are away from civilization yet safe and secure.

This trek is a worthwhile proposition on 2-weeks time scale and for a variety of reasons it promises to be very interesting indeed.

We start from the town of Skardu and Shigar, to the tiny seasonal settlements of the upper valleys where the fascinating Balti culture is well displayed. In terms of natural landscape also the trip is particularly varied ranging from the sands of the Indus valley, by way of the ” Alpine ” lower valley, to the high snows of the spectacular peaks, which surround the Thalay La.

To each of the campsites we must climb up beside the snout of the Masharbrum glacier and

follow a ridge of lateral moraine to a flat area at the mouth of a second large tributary valley. Skirting the valley’s edge on a narrow rock ledge, before rejoining the moraines passing a cluster of deserted stone huts and climbing up to the jumble of ice and rocks that lead us to Masharbrum.
